GM bulletins are intended for use by professional technicians, NOT a "do-it-yourselfer". They are written to inform these technicians of conditions that may occur on some vehicles, or to provide information that could assist in the proper service of a vehicle. Properly trained technicians have the equipment, tools, safety instructions, and know-how to do a job properly and safely. If a condition is described, DO NOT assume that the bulletin applies to your vehicle, or that your vehicle will have that condition. See your GM dealer for information on whether your vehicle may benefit from the information.

Summary:

I decided not to go with the OEM harness/battery cables since I feel that running bigger gauge wire will help with the reduced drops in voltage. I also decided to go with the Painless Wiring setup for dual batteries (control) as an added incentive, but will not install this until later. You may opt to install the OEM harness/battery cables and use the OEM isolator. Either way works. In addition, I recommend that you read the Big Three Upgrade to gather more information should you decide to proceed with this install/upgrade. Another consideration is the added weight that you will be adding. This stuff does weigh in close to 50 lbs extra, I figure that most will not care by the added weight, thought I would throw it out there.
